Our Approach

How We Work

A structured, repeatable process for BIM delivery — from the first file to final handover. Built on clear standards, continuous coordination, and a relentless focus on quality.

Our Principles

How we think about BIM delivery

Six principles that underpin every project we work on — regardless of size, discipline, or stage.

01

Standards first, modelling second

Before a single element is modelled, we establish the project template, naming conventions, LOD matrix, and shared coordinates. Getting this right upfront means the model is consistent from the very first file — and stays that way throughout the project.

02

Coordination is built in, not bolted on

We don't model first and coordinate later. Discipline models are set up with inter-model awareness from day one — linked, aligned, and structured so clashes can be identified and resolved at every stage of the design, not just at the end.

03

QA happens before every handover

Every deliverable — model file, drawing sheet, clash report — goes through a structured internal quality check before it leaves our hands. We check for element completeness, annotation accuracy, naming compliance, and buildability.

04

Communication is continuous

We don't disappear for two weeks and reappear with a model. You get regular progress updates, clear milestone tracking, and direct access to the team working on your project. If something changes, we flag it immediately.

05

We think like contractors

Our benchmark for every drawing and model isn't 'is this technically correct?' — it's 'can this actually be built?'. We review for buildability, tolerance, and constructability, not just geometric accuracy.

06

Deliverables are complete, not approximate

We don't issue partial models or indicative drawings. When we say a deliverable is ready, it is ready — annotated, coordinated, and compliant with the agreed LOD and project standard.

Project Phases

From brief to handover

A five-phase delivery framework that gives every project a clear structure, defined checkpoints, and consistent quality across all milestones.

Phase 1

Project Onboarding

Day 1–3
Receive and review brief, drawings, or existing model
Confirm scope, LOD requirements, and delivery milestones
Agree project template, naming conventions, and BEP alignment
Set up shared coordinates and model structure
Phase 2

Modelling & Development

Week 1–3 (typical)
Progressive discipline modelling — architecture, structure, MEP
Internal QA checks at each model stage
Iterative coordination and clash detection
Regular progress updates and milestone reporting
Phase 3

Coordination & Clash Resolution

Ongoing / milestone-based
Multi-discipline model federation in Navisworks
Clash tests run against agreed tolerance rules
BCF clash reports issued for each discipline
Models updated and re-tested until clashes are resolved
Phase 4

Drawing Production

Week 3–4 (typical)
GFC drawing sets extracted from coordinated model
Annotation, dimensioning, and tagging completed
Drawing QA check against project standards
Issue for construction with drawing register and transmittal
Phase 5

Delivery & Handover

End of project
Final model files issued in RVT / IFC / NWD formats
Complete drawing package with revision history
Clash coordination summary and sign-off record
Model compliance report confirming LOD achievement
