Overview

Our Civil & Infrastructure BIM service covers everything from the ground down — and across the site. We produce digital terrain models, civil site models, drainage and utilities layouts, and external works documentation that integrate seamlessly with the building BIM.

We work from survey data, LiDAR scans, utility records, and engineering drawings — building in Civil 3D and Revit to produce models that support both construction documentation and multi-discipline coordination at ground level.

All civil models are federated with the building model and carefully coordinated at the interface — ensuring service entry points, ground floor thresholds, and levels are consistent across disciplines before any drawings are issued for construction.

Site & Terrain Modelling

Digital terrain models, site topography, earthworks, cut and fill calculations, and site levelling plans modelled from survey data, LiDAR, or point cloud scans.

Roads & Pavements

Road geometry, carriageways, kerbs, footpaths, car parks, and hardstanding areas modelled with correct levels, gradients, and surface finishes.

Drainage & Stormwater

Surface drainage, stormwater networks, foul drainage, manholes, inspection chambers, and retention systems — modelled with correct falls and outfall locations.

Utilities & Underground Services

Underground utilities mapping and coordination — water mains, gas mains, electricity, telecoms, and sewer networks — including existing services from survey data.

Retaining Structures

Retaining walls, sheet piling, embankments, and slope stabilisation elements modelled with correct geometry and interface with the surrounding site model.

Landscape & External Works

Soft and hard landscaping, boundary treatments, external lighting, street furniture, and planting layouts coordinated with the civil site model.

Survey & Data Review

We review site survey data, LiDAR scans, utility records, and existing drawings to establish a complete picture of the site before modelling begins.

Terrain Model Setup

A digital terrain model is built from survey data, forming the base for all civil elements and establishing correct shared coordinates with the building model.

Civil Modelling

Roads, drainage, utilities, and structures are modelled progressively, with each discipline layer checked for conflicts and routing issues as it is added.

Coordination with Building BIM

The civil model is federated with the architectural and structural models to ensure correct interface at ground level, connections, and service entry points.

Drawing Production & Delivery

Civil drawings, drainage layouts, and utility coordination plans are produced and issued in PDF / DWG formats with a complete drawing register.
